Josh Alexander relinquishes IMPACT World Championship due to injury

The longest World Championship reign in IMPACT Wrestling history is over. After a few days of speculation, IMPACT Wrestling confirmed today that Josh Alexander would relinquish the title, effective immediately, due to the injury suffered to his biceps.

With title vacated, a new champion will be crowned at IMPACT Wrestling’s April pay-per-view, Rebellion, where Kushida and Steve Maclin will face off for the gold.

The news was broken via Twitter by the Walking Weapon himself:

What do you think of the news that Alexander must relinquish the title? Who will be the next IMPACT World Champion? Join the conversation on social media, @JEZSports, or leave us a comment below!
