The April 17th episode of Monday Night RAW in North Little Rock, Arkansas, took place without one of WWE’s biggest performers, but where was The Man?
Becky Lynch abruptly declared on Twitter before the event that she wouldn’t be attending Raw. “I won’t be coming to Raw today,” she wrote. Wild rumours about Lynch’s future in the WWE spread over social media after she also changed her Twitter handle to her true name, Rebecca Quin.
The remark eventually became a plot point in Lynch’s relationship with Trish Stratus, and Lynch’s husband Seth Rollins even responded to the message by stating, “Bye-bye b*tch,” in a video clip. Following their loss of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, Stratus turned heel on Lynch on last week’s episode of Raw.
In truth, Lynch was absent from Raw due to a minor ailment, according to WRKD Wrestling, rather than any discontent. Then, Lynch’s slight foot injury was confirmed by Fightful Select, and sources from WWE said there were “no concerns to their knowledge between Becky Lynch and WWE.” Despite Lynch’s absence, Trish Stratus continued to appear on RAW and gave an explanation for her actions last week in an incredible promo.
According to reports, the two will square off on August 5th at SummerSlam in Detroit, Michigan. We’re hoping it’s more like Money In The Bank from London, England…
