Former WWE Superstar, Naomi, Set to Debut in IMPACT Wrestling (SPOILERS)

IMPACT Wrestling announced that the disgruntled former Women’s Tag Team Champion will arrive in the IMPACT Zone next week.

Since Mercedes Moné made her debut in New Japan Pro Wrestling earlier this year, the wrestling world has been wondering when and where the woman who left WWE alongside her, Naomi, would end up. During last night’s Impact Spring Slugfest TV tapings from Cicero Stadium in Chicago, we got our answer.

Naomi, now wrestling under her given name, Trinity, arrived in IMPACT Wrestling and cut an in-ring promo. IMPACT have advertised this promo for next week’s IMPACT on AXS show. In her debut promo, Trinity declared that she has come to win the IMPACT Knockouts World Title. She was then welcomed by the champ, Deonna Purrazzo and later interrupted by Jordynne Grace. Grace came to remind them that she is booked to challenge Purrazzo for the belt at Under Siege on Friday May 26th.

The next week, Trinity will go on to compete against KiLynn King in her debut bout with IMPACT Wrestling.

As their WWE tenure drew to a close, Trinity and Mercedes Moné (also known as Sasha Banks) competed in a four corner tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the second night of WrestleMania 38. They won the match by defeating the teams of Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, Natalya and Shayna Baszler, and titleholders Carmella and Queen Zelina. Following a meeting with CEO Vince McMahon, Trinity and Moné legitimately left the RAW set during the May 16th episode due to a creative disagreement. Trinity and Moné “walked into WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ office with their suitcases in hand, placed their Tag Team Championship belts on his desk and walked out,” according to a statement issued by WWE. The night’s main event, which had initially involved both women, was altered as a result of this. The title was vacated and Trinity and Moné were placed on indefinite suspension. After nearly a year of rumours, Trinity revealed she has left WWE in March 2023 via fan engagement on her Instagram.

Naomi was previously kept on the SmackDown roster page by WWE. Between yesterday night and this morning, this situation altered when she was added to the WWE Alumni roster. When Moné made her New Japan debut in January, WWE changed things similarly.

Trinity was recently spotted training with Samuray Del Sol, formerly known as Kalisto in WWE. She last competed in a professional match on May 15th, 2022.

The aforementioned Moné was also in the crowd to support her friend and heavily praised Trinity’s decision on social media.
